Skjarnland (Skee-arn-land), officially the Kingdom of Skjarnland, is a country in Northern Evria, bordering Karjania to the north, the Arctic Sea to the west, the North Sea and Alemannia to the south, and the Suebian Sea to the east. As of 1934, it is the 11th most populous nation on the continent and possesses the world's 21st highest GDP, 5th highest real GDP per capita (excluding overseas territories) and has the highest HDI in Evria. Its diverse climate, which includes temperate to arctic conditions, is a result of the country's latitudinal length stretching from the plains of Central Evria to the harsh tundra and cold desert of the Arctic regions. Skjarnland is a constitutional monarchy currently governed by the House of Dahlberg, with day-to-day affairs handled by the ruling coalition in the Riksdag, the nation's unicameral legislature. Skjarnland's ethnicities include all of the Northern Alemannic cultures, which form the vast majority of the nation's ethnic makeup, along with indigenous northern tribes such as the Sjaedrin and Iskarn peoples.
